The problem: a great reputation the website couldn't show
Billie had done the hard part. Health-tested parents, a real puppy curriculum, a perfect 5.0 from 41 Google reviews, and more than 3,000 Facebook followers.
Her website was built on a do-it-yourself website builder, and it was working against her in ways she couldn't see from the outside:
- None of her reviews were on the site. Buyers had to go find them on Google or Facebook, and most won't.
- Her puppies were invisible to Google. Each puppy's name and details lived inside a photo. People could read them. Google could not.
- There was no clear way to claim a specific puppy. A buyer who fell in love with one pup had no direct path from that puppy to reserving it.
- The platform itself was the ceiling. The builder wouldn't let her add the behind-the-scenes code that tells Google about her business and her reviews. No amount of editing could fix that.
She filled out our free website review form on a Tuesday evening. I sent her the findings that night, we talked the next morning, and she hired us on that call.
What we built
A design that is hers
Billie wanted a site that felt fresh and moving, with gentle animation as you scroll. We built that feel around her own identity instead of borrowing someone else's: warm pine, caramel and cream colors drawn from the lake woods and her dogs' actual coats, her own tagline, and her real photos. The gallery holds more than 130 of them.
Every puppy gets its own card
Each available puppy now has a card with its photo, name, sex, size, color and a short personality note, plus a button to reserve that puppy. The button opens her adoption application with the puppy already filled in. Because the details are real text, Google can read every one of them.
Her reputation, front and center
Her 5.0 rating, her Google reviews and her ALAA Silver Paw credential now appear on the site itself. We also added the structured data her old platform blocked, so Google can read her business details and review rating directly from her site.
Easy to call, easy to apply
Her phone number is tap-to-call on every page. The site includes a full adoption application and a guardian program application, and every form was tested live before launch. At Billie's request, the site takes no payments. Reservations start with a conversation, the way she runs her program.
Answers buyers are already searching for
We added pages that answer the questions families ask before they ever call: pricing and what's included, coat colors, sizes, how an Australian Labradoodle differs from a Labradoodle, the guardian program, and a full FAQ. Sixteen pages in all, each with its own clear title and one clear topic.
Fast, and hers to keep
The site is custom-coded and hosted on fast, modern infrastructure. Her domain and her email stayed exactly where they were, and nothing about her inbox changed during the move.
Results so far
The new site went live at the start of September, which is too soon for honest before-and-after numbers. Search results take time to catch up, and I would rather show you real data than a guess.
What is true today: every puppy is readable by Google, every review has a home on her site, and a buyer can go from a puppy photo to that puppy's application in one tap.
Is your website hiding your reputation too?
This is the most common problem we see with small businesses: years of great work and great reviews, and a website that shows none of it. If that sounds familiar, send us your site. We will tell you what is holding it back and which fix should come first.
